Emotional States & Your Power : Approaching Food From An Energetic Perspective

Energetics of Food - Tara Nikita

Two weeks ago we looked at how the spiritual awakening process invariably asks us to heal and resolve the energetic of judgement, and we brought up food choices as a great example of an arena in which our judgement comes to the foreground to be addressed. Food is such an incredibly touchy topic that it deserves its own discussion. So this week I thought I would specifically address the energetics of food.

One of the first things to be understood when looking at food from an energetic perspective is that, in the scheme of things, the vibrational energetic underpinning one’s food consumption is more important than the specific kinds of foods one eats. (A premise which flies in the face of more conventional health paradigms. #Fun).

“I am eating this food because I am right about food, and other people are wrong” reflects an energetic of judgement.

“I am eating this food primarily because I am worried about other foods being detrimental to my health and well-being” reflects an underlying energetic of anxiety.

If judgement or anxiety (or any other negative emotion, such as self-loathing) are dominant underlying energies from which one consumes food, then these energies undercut the physical body’s ability to receive nutrient value from the food one eats. The physical body is first and foremost a bio-energetic system, which means that it is a physical translator and mirror of energy. Not only do these underlying energetic states limit the body’s ability to receive value from the food, but the body will often react to an individual’s underlying negative energetic states by displaying food allergies or intolerance.

Spiritual Awakening & Overcoming the Judgement Trap

Spiritual Awakening and the Judgement Trap - Tara Nikita

“Free from Judgement”, from the Sacred Rebels Oracle, published by Blue Angel

Stages of Spiritual Awakening

Earlier stages of spiritual awakening tend to coincide with what I call the “stance of opposition”, i.e., the desire to define oneself in opposition to prevailing norms and beliefs. At this stage, individuals undergoing a spiritual awakening tend to more actively eschew and reject beliefs or practices that are perceived as being opposite to their newly expanded vista of awareness.

Later stages of spiritual awakening can be somewhat different. The more one progresses into an expanded awareness, the less one is inclined to define oneself in opposition to prevailing norms, beliefs and practices. The spiritually awakened individual will no doubt make choices which are in truth radically different from these prevailing norms; however, what tends to happen is that these selections are made less from a place of judgement, and less from a place of needing to actively define the self in opposition to prevailing culture.

{Free Gift} Hey I’m Awake: A practical guide for navigating your spiritual awakening

I’ve wanted for some time now to create something specially for those in the middle of a spiritual awakening, and this free e-guide has been a joy to make.

Hey: I’m Awake, isn’t fundamentally about energetic frequency patterns, DNA upgrades and activation, or dimensions and densities. It isn’t fundamentally about the planetary grid, intelligence fields, photons, gamma-rays, solar flares, the galactic core, timelines, or the human relationship with our extra-dimensional family. Since the flowering of consciousness is felt at the level of the individual, since the awakening of perception is actually a very “quotidian” sort of thing, and since it all has to do with the actual lives we live every day, this guide is more about how to navigate your individual awakening process with dignity, grace, and impeccable clarity.

Discover in Hey, I’m Awake:

How to gracefully deal with people around you who may not be “on board” with your spiritual awakening.

How to work with your physical body to more effectively manage the energies and information you are integrating.

What relationship changes and disruptions mean, and how to navigate them with a little know-how and savvy.

Going Beyond Normal

"Going Beyond Normal", from the Sacred Rebels Oracle, published by Blue Angel.

“Going Beyond Normal”, from the Sacred Rebels Oracle, published by Blue Angel.

Let’s face it. Spiritual awakening can be extremely perplexing. (I have a term for it: “Neptunian confusion”). You don’t know what’s really happening to you. You think you know, but there’s always more going on. I’ve wanted to talk about the idea of “going beyond normal” for a long time – specifically how the lightworker becomes confused because he or she doesn’t really understand the implications of stepping into a new vibrational dispensation. The lightworker realizes conceptually that she’s a little different from a lot of other people, but coping with the corollaries of this difference is another kettle of fish…

The fundamental issue is this: the lightworker’s conscious mind doesn’t really comprehend the extent to which his or her energy has altered, so he or she keeps looking toward the familiar, and is perplexed when familiar ways of doing things no longer yield the same results, or fail to work in the way they used to.

A Little Tip for Navigating Contentious Arguments

A little tip for navigating contentious arguments

While I was aware of the killing of Cecil, the Lion, I had not taken the time to really watch much of the story’s coverage on television. (I watch minimal amounts of TV). I also hadn’t read any articles online about the matter. However, last night I decided to watch some of the coverage from a few major news networks on their YouTube channels. Of course, an upshot of Cecil’s killing is that it raises that old debate once more: should we hunt animals for sport.

This issue came up closer to home recently – we’re approaching the bird-shooting season where I am, and a neighbour of mine was explaining how he happens to be involved in making recommendations to the government about the specific dates of the season. Apparently the member of parliament to whom the recommendations were made isn’t pro-hunting, and decided to cut two weeks off the usual 6-week bird-shooting season, leaving bird-shooters 4 weeks within which to enjoy their hobby. (I’m not entirely sure about the legality of the MP’s unilateral decision, but that’s another issue).

Anyway, as I watched the coverage last night and the debates about hunting game, my feelings were the same as they always have been: I do not personally resonate with the vibrational signature of hunting animals for sport.

Lightworker Q&A (part 2)

lightworker QA

Last week, in part 1 of the Lightworker Q&A, I offered a framework to understand the term ‘lightworker’ and I discussed whether lightworkers are “chosen” (of course not, read to find out why). I offered perspectives on whether lightworkers should spread their message (yes and no), the role of extra-terrestrials and starseeds, the phenomenon of channeling, and the particular advantage of having such a wide variety of channeled material.

This week I wrap the Q&A up. Once again, these are my own perspectives for you to consider and play with in your mind, offered in the spirit of contribution to the wider conversation of consciousness…

Lightworker Q&A

I took a nice refreshing break from client consultations and readings because some of my family from New York came to visit for their holiday. It was really great catching up with my relatives. When we got to chatting, my aunt asked me what I had recently been reading. In explaining what books I had my nose in, I briefly mentioned the term ‘lightworker’. She asked me to explain the term, as she had never heard it before. I did (rather briefly). Mind you, this branch of my family is quite religious, and have political beliefs and concepts about what it is to be human that I do not personally subscribe to (in the least!). But we have good, sane discussions, and to me it is important to be able to do that. Throughout the time they spent with me, I kept on thinking about something that the P’s have asked us to affirm:

On “Raising Your Vibration” & Playing with Space

Raising Your Vibration

Last week I spoke a little (a lot) about the idea that “You Create Your Own Reality” (YCYOR) –  in an attempt to really break it down and deconstruct it. The purpose of that “deconstruction” was to suggest a way of healing the judgement that we often unwittingly pour into YCYOR. What I’d like to do today is to take a look at another related idea making its way around spiritual circles – the idea of “raising your vibration.”

Deconstructing “You Create Your Own Reality”

You Create Your Own Reality

The idea that “you create your own reality” is thrown around a lot in spiritual circles – thrown around not only by those who rather appreciate the principle, but equally by those who reject it categorically or by those who find the idea wanting in some respect. Those appreciating the idea are happy to acknowledge that the state of their consciousness imprints their experience, and that collective states of consciousness imprint collective experience. Those who categorically reject the idea see no necessary relationship between ‘mind’ and ‘matter’ – a la Cartesian thinking – and those who are able to see some merit to the principle are uncomfortable with its (perceived) corollaries: “Yes, states of mind influence outcomes, but surely economically disenfranchised people can’t be blamed for their circumstance,” they say.

Surely inequitable financial and societal systems play a huge role in their situation. These people can’t be blamed for creating a reality of poverty when clearly there is so much wrong with our world.” Others experience a different kind of discomfort with the notion, finding it cold, and even punitive: ‘You Create Your Own Reality’ (YCYOR) is going to punish them for having a “low vibration” on a stressful day and is going to hand them a bad time. “You should know better than to lower your vibration, you creating human, you.”

Mind your own (vibrational) business

heart centered biz

The heart-centred business community is populated by many wonderful people with integrity who simply want to be of service to others doing what it is they enjoy, and who intend that others be the beneficiaries of the joy that infuses their work. Those who identify themselves as part of this community (myself included) eschew sterile commercial paradigms and ‘icky’ (viz. “low vibration”) advertising/marketing techniques embedded in traditional competition ‘win or lose’ paradigms. The upshot of leaving behind “old energy” business paradigms predicated on the concept of survival is the necessity of carving out a unique business space in which a heartfelt desire to engage in mutually fulfilling interaction (whilst, of course, earning some cash) becomes paramount. The challenge here is that much readily accessible business advice and strategy is still embedded in old energy, and therefore, trying to apply these to a heart-centred business is not only vibrationally incongruous, but quite confusing for the heart-centred business owner.
