“So, what do you do?” A question that I still feel awkward answering. My usual, run-of-the-mill response: I am a counselor/therapist.
I am a counselor, in that I help people with my insights. I help people with my ability to see symbolically. I use an astrological framework.
Astrology is a symbolic language that helps me to speak to the realities of another human being’s life and soul – the deeper soul and psychic processes taking place within their lives.
Astrology becomes a symbolic language to help to situate that. And I help with a sort of “practical spirituality” – I help people, in the practical sense, to look at and to understand the deeper structure of their beliefs.
Lots of people are blind to their own beliefs, their own beliefs never occurred to them.
I help to make those beliefs clearer, to help them to understand the structural bedrock of their psyche – the beliefs and patterns of mind that give rise to their external realities. I help people to make shifts on the deeper internal level – what I call the “blueprint level.”
Beliefs are the blueprints of our experience.
Meaning: beliefs speak to how the psyche is programmed to create its external experience; the driving mental patterns and psychic forces that become projected onto physical reality.
So I help people to work on that interior blueprint level – to change the instruction sets within the mind’s programming, to re-write the codes that produce their outer experience.
That is what I do in counseling work.
And I bring attention to the deeper processes of the guiding soul.
Meaning, a foundational premise of my entire counseling practice is that life is lived from the seat of the soul.
Meaning, the energetic non-physical consciousness that intentionally takes on a human life – and works THROUGH human experience.
I help people to see themselves and their lives from the standpoint of their energetic non-physical soul consciousness, with its specific agendas for growth and learning.
I enjoy that practical work, especially with receptive clients who make the experience so rewarding.
I am an astrologer in that astrology is a symbolic system that I use, as an art, to speak to deeper interior realities.
Astrological symbols speak to deeper dimensions of reality. And it is those dimensions with which I am principally concerned.
Because I am concerned about the underlying realities that the astrology hints at, the underlying realities that the astrology symbolically represents, I have no prescriptions for the type of astrological system someone ought to use.
Meaning, whether we “ought” to use whole sign houses, or quadrant-based houses, or tropical or sidereal astrology.
These debates are not a good use of my time, and do not in any way advance the deeper psychic work I wish to undertake with the people who come to me for help.
Astrology symbolically describes, in a way palatable to the human mind, dimensions of Cosmic Mind and psyche that are SO VAST that they cannot be contained within a single symbolic system.
I draw a parallel: the energy of the human soul consciousness is so dynamic that it cannot be contained within a single lifetime.
We live again and again.
The gestalt of non-physical awareness to which we each belong spreads itself out through various dimensions of experience across space and time, in a profoundly dynamic way.
Having said all of that, I am still strongly led, I would like to think, by a “structured and a lucid approach to astrology” – meaning that there are definite principles and methodologies that inform my astrological approach.
But they do not operate for their own sake. I favour certain methods, (and I believe that there are more and less appropriate ways for using them).
I do strongly value using precise language in the astrological work I do. I have never liked “sloppy” thinking or language. I teach my astrology students the value of clear thinking, precision and lucidity.
I teach my students the value of being as precise as possible; the value of having refined intellectual processes that ALLOW intuitive data to come through as clearly as possible.
The intellect is a lens, we want it to be as clean and clear as possible, in order to receive and convey data from deeper dimensions of our psychic awareness with greater and greater degrees of impeccability.
My astrological work is grounded within the following 5 main principles:
1. Any astrological symbol is archetypal, having a spectrum or range of expression.
2. Consciousness is flexible and creative.
3. There is a symbiotic relationship between the quality of a person’s awareness and the archetypal expression of an astrological factor.
4. The astrological chart illuminates spiritual tasks and evolutionary processes within a human life.
5. The chart symbolizes a blueprint from which a range of probabilities spring – the individual determines how astrological archetypes are given expression, and the probabilities that arise.
The structure that informs my astrological work springs forth from deeper portions of my own psyche in ways that I do not fully consciously understand.
I feel a deeper consciousness working through me as I use astrological symbology to speak to the lives of the individuals I work with, or as I speak to broader collective themes – our collective reality on the planet, and the structure and mechanics of human consciousness.
Which brings me to what I believe my “job” truly is.
Underneath the astrology lies a deeper allegiance.
I think the reason why I find it so challenging to describe “my job” is because something is always lost in translation.
Meaning, “my job” involves me being inside the human system, yet outside of it.
It involves me playing my part to help restore the potentials and abilities inherent within the Natural, Organic Human Consciousness. The “Organic Celestial Human Template of Consciousness,” is what I call it.
My ancestors speak through me; I serve a long line of ancestry that works with humanity in this way.
We are invested in helping humans to re-awaken and restore the natural organic potentials inherent within their bio-spiritual anatomy.
We love humanity and we are pleased to be human whenever we come into the system.
We are here to help restore cosmic dignity to humans, to help them to understand the mechanics of their natural, organic cosmic code, and to work with that code in the now.
Our basic project is to help humans to begin to rely more and more on the abilities inherent to them, to awaken these potentials of consciousness, and to live by them.
…To awaken to potentials of consciousness that are not currently accepted as the natural, “ordinary” skills and abilities of humans, but which are perfectly natural and intrinsic to human awareness, intrinsic to the “celestial human.”
We do this by stepping into the human system and awakening these potentials within ourselves first, and living by them.
That is always our method.
When we step into the system, our development is closely monitored by our “Elders” – they oversee our progress.
You could call us the emissaries – we go out into the system. Our “Elders” help us to navigate the initiations that come with discovering who we are, which can be a shock to our human systems, a shock to the human personalities that we have (and their human cultural beliefs), as we discover our true nature and abilities.
For my own part, in advancing this deeper mission and agenda, I relay and educate, as a scribe or messenger would.
My online body of work, (which continues to develop and change as I change) is meant to teach, relay and convey pertinent data and knowledge to help myself and others understand the nature, structure and mechanics of the human anatomy of consciousness….
….and the deeper interior realities that shape our experience of being human, along the lines of what is contained within our Divine Celestial Human Template.
