A portrait of Sun-Pluto aspects, especially in women. The evolutionary soul purpose of these aspects – both on the individual and collective levels.
Approaching the new moon in Pisces on Saturday, March 17. The Sun and Moon join Chiron in Pisces. Sun-Moon squares Mars and trines Jupiter.
For the last few weeks we have been under the influence of a strong Pisces signature. The Virgo moon at the beginning of the month had a strong Pisces subtone, with its ruler, Mercury, in Pisces. The Sun and Neptune, both in Pisces, opposed the full Moon.
We spoke back then of that Virgo full moon, representing the collective mood, being motivated to fix and solve problems out of deep feelings of dissatisfaction, hurt, sadness, loss and wounding. We spoke about this in relation to the latest school shootings/resurgence of gun-control discourse in the United States.
This new moon in Pisces invites us into a fresh new understanding. Joining up with Chiron and trining Jupiter in Scorpio, the new moon asks us to reflect on Chiron’s message: wounds, hurt, sadness and loss (Pisces-Scorpio) are the KEYS TO HIGHER SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS (Pisces).
In this video I explain how individual karmic experiences, such as the experience of a “karmic relationship” are “ascension codes.” Ascension codes are energetic opportunities given to us a personal, individual level to heal and restore the collective human DNA structure.
I explain how individual karmic events are designed for individual soul expansion and growth, but they also have a built-in collective coding. I also share how astrological transits can be understood as the symbolic language of ascension codes. The implications or the meaning of a karmic experience goes way beyond our individual lives.
Your orientation to social media may have changed after your spiritual awakening process. (This certainly happened to me!). Social isolation, as well as a complete shift perception and interests, are characteristic experiences of the awakening process, and they can have implications for one’s social media habits.
In this video, I share some guidelines for approaching social media after a spiritual awakening, and some tips to stay sane in our over-saturated digital world. One of the topics I remain interested in is just this business of electronics, and maintaining a state of mindfulness/groundedness even as we coexist with our devices and the internet.
Spiritual awakening – a topic I absolutely love creating resources for. In this video I talk about the Hermit/Retreat phase of spiritual awakening, the Judgement phase, how the two phases relate to each other, and when it’s time to move beyond these to more mature phases of the spiritual awakening process.
Some time ago, a friend reached out to me for a listening ear. He spoke of how misunderstood he felt as his worldview changed – he was undergoing a spiritual awakening. He began to voraciously read new literature, he found new friends who were exploring the same spiritual and political ideas he was, and much to the chagrin of his family, he felt increasingly alienated from his devoutly religious upbringing. I noticed how strikingly different he looked from the last time I saw him – it was as though his body morphed into a new one, mimicking his inner journey as his mind mutated to accommodate new philosophies and conceptions of reality.
(I should point out that this is quite typical of a spiritual awakening. Inner energetic shifts often result in striking physical/outward changes. New thought forms alter the frequency we broadcast, and because we are, as humans, bio-energetic beings, these new thought forms give new commands to our biological/physical systems. If you are going through an awakening process at the moment, you may find want to check out this page for some support).
Naturally, the first thing I did was ask him for his birth data. I cast his natal chart with his current transits, and there it was: transiting Pluto in Capricorn was closing in on an exact conjunction with his Ascendant, and was opposing his Cancer Mercury. And as if the action of transiting Pluto wasn’t enough, transiting Uranus was also closing in on an exact conjunction with his Aries I.C, and squaring his Moon. Big stuff.
We all have guides. I sort of prefer the term “soul guides”, as it brings back the recognition that on a soul level, we are already very intimately familiar with our guides, many of whom have worked with us over the course of many lives, and across many timelines and existences. I like the term “soul guides” too because the work our guides undertake with us has everything to do with our soul trajectory, and soul growth.
Our guides are interested in the accomplishment of the tasks and objectives that we set out for ourselves before coming here, before taking on a new human personality and integrating with our human host bodies. These tasks and objectives are the tasks and objectives of our souls.
As an intuitive practitioner, I encounter people who want to understand more about their spirit guides – what their names are, how they look. There is often, in spiritual communities, an insatiable curiosity about “guides”, and the first port of call on the spiritual quest of many folks in these communities is “meeting their guides.” Cue downloaded guided meditation, and voila, guides show up in all their glory.
It’s no secret that I love eye symbology. Eye symbology is tattooed on my back, as well as on my ankle. When I go out with my back exposed, it seems to always invite people to strike up a conversation. Am I a Christian. Is it the evil eye. Do I “believe in” Jesus. Am I trying to watch my back (how novel).
The truth about tattoos is that they are very often “notes to self.” They are symbolic reminders of hard-earned wisdom – wisdom we don’t ever want to forget. So we etch it into our skin. Fortified by the pain of our learning experience, the pain of getting a tattoo seems comparatively negligible. The beautiful and curious thing about tattoos is that as we evolve in consciousness, so does the meaning of our tattoos. I got my first eye tattooed on my back seven or eight years ago, and a lot has changed in my vista of reality since then.
If I dared to etch this sacred symbol on my back, then, looking back retrospectively, it seems that I was sending a message to the multiverse. In etching this symbol on my skin, I was in effect announcing my readiness to learn what it really meant. In some way I must have been stating that I wanted to qualify for wearing it.
So here is what I’ve learned thus far: the third eye isn’t for kids.
From the guides:
This is a question that we know is of great personal interest to you. This is a very timely and important question. Parenting in this time on the planet is tricky…it is challenging for parents who would be oriented toward a certain kind of consciousness and who want to raise their children with let’s say, more “humanistic” values…values that are in-keeping with the harmony of the planet, with the raising of consciousness on the planet.
There is much to be desired in terms of the state of children and the state of parenting on your planet…there are many challenges which arise. One of which is your media, and the kinds of things that children are exposed to. One of which is the internet, and parenting in the age of the internet. We know you sense the challenges inherent in parenting on the planet at this time. The first thing we want to point out to you is this: that balance is needed in terms of how this issue is perceived.
The law of attraction was never meant to be used an excuse to feel bad. It was never meant to be used a basis upon which to berate oneself for “manifesting” some unwanted thing. We were never meant to use ‘attracting’ unwanted things as a basis to extrapolate that we are flawed, or wrong.
The self- responsibility inherent in the maxim that we “create our own reality” was never meant to go hand in hand with self-blame when something unwanted happens. Responsibility and blame are not energetically equivalent.
Because of our limited understanding of this (albeit spectacularly simple) law, and because as humans we seem to be suckers for self-flagellation and feelings of unworthiness (we simply don’t have enough time here to discuss all the reasons why), we often tend to think in this way: “Because I have ‘attracted’ this unwanted thing into my life, I must be doing something wrong.” And then we intensify and amplify our experience of the unwanted things in our lives by:
