Happy new year to you, and all the very best for 2018.

In this video I walk you through the astrological-energetic currents of January 2018 – what we are encountering as we begin the year. January is a LONG month, and there is so much going on in January 2018, including two full moons and a lunar eclipse, so I break it down for you to get a comprehensive big picture view, contextualizing January’s unfoldment in light of the astrological shifts that occurred in 2017.

Astrology Forecast for 2018 – The Big Picture (video)

Astrology Forecast for 2018 - Tara Nikita

In this video I look at the major astrological transits of the outer planets in order to understand the energetic climate of the year. Beginning with an account of Jupiter’s movement into Scorpio in October 2017, we look at how this arc of energy continues into 2018. Scorpionic themes along the spectrum are energized and amplified in global awareness.

In this astrology forecast for 2018, we examine the major shift of energy as Saturn moved into Capricorn in December 2017, and how this conditions the global energetic climate. Saturn in Capricorn strongly emphasizes themes of personal responsibility, accountability and realism. In one sense, Saturn in Capricorn can provide the antidote to the less savoury tendencies of Neptune in Pisces – the tendency especially to avoid hard truths and escape reality. Neptune in Pisces will continue to be foggy waters in terms of media imagery, deception, falsity and escapism.

The Astrological Sun & The Physical Body Vehicle

Photo by Jeremy Bishop on Unsplash

I have stopped trying to put a label on how I receive information, but I am told to describe it as intuitive communication via direct telepathic transmission. Here are a few notes on the astrological Sun, and how the Sun indicates the manner in which the life force emanates from the human physical body, according to its sign position. I am putting the information here exactly how it was received, without too much editing. You may wish to read for your sun sign, but I would recommend reading the whole thing, as it just makes more sense when considered altogether, and more is explained at the end.

The Astrology Of Relationships (Free PDF Download)

Being fluent in the symbolic language of astrology is nothing short of a gift. If we open our hearts and our minds to what astrology wants to teach us – we realise that embedded into astrology’s structure is a whole way of viewing life and existence. We realise first and foremost that there is a fundamental order to things, there is meaning, and there is logic in life’s cyclical unfoldment. We also realize one more thing: astrology does not explicate, so much as it reveals that there is an underlying pattern of existence.

To engage with astrology is to have a bit of a glimpse into the Cosmic Order. But that Cosmic Order, does not, certainly from this third dimensional level of existence, reveal all of its inner workings. As we expand our awareness and therefore have greater dimensional access, we see more. The more our consciousness expands, the faster our vibratory rate becomes, and more pours in to our perceptual awareness. As we expand our awareness, the more astrology will reveal to us.

When we penetrate deeper into the mysteries of astrology, we also intuitively realize that the energetic pattern revealed by someone’s birth chart isn’t accidental – it is supposed to be that way. As I see the birth charts of clients, friends and family members, I am always struck by how unique each one is. Astrology reminds us that we are each our own profound Universe, and it points us toward the self-love and self-acceptance that comes when we realize that we were not designed to be like someone else.

In relationships, even in challenging ones, we may begin to realise that other people are designed to be the way they are. Differences in energy attunements between people are a perfectly right and natural part of existence. People are not wired to perceive reality exactly the way we are. This is okay.

Ascension Codes: The Structure Of Your Karmic Experiences (video)

Ascension codes: the structure of your karmic experiences - Tara Nikita

In this video I explain how individual karmic experiences, such as the experience of a “karmic relationship” are “ascension codes.” Ascension codes are energetic opportunities given to us a personal, individual level to heal and restore the collective human DNA structure.

I explain how individual karmic events are designed for individual soul expansion and growth, but they also have a built-in collective coding. I also share how astrological transits can be understood as the symbolic language of ascension codes. The implications or the meaning of a karmic experience goes way beyond our individual lives.

Astrology: Why You Should Pay Attention To The Quincunx Aspect (video)

Why You Should Pay Attention To The Quincunx - Tara Nikita

In this video I talk about the rather esoteric and obscure-sounding aspect in astrology called the “quincunx” or “inconjunct.” I explain why it isn’t a so-called “minor aspect”, and how the natural 150 degree relationship between Aries and Virgo helps us to decode its meaning and function in the psyche.

I share two real-life examples of the quincunx or inconjunct in action from my counseling work with clients. Some food for thought on why the quincunx is absolutely worth paying attention to, especially if the quincunx aspect is between two planets that represent critical psychological functions.

Astrology in Anecdotes: A Case of an Awakening

Some time ago, a friend reached out to me for a listening ear. He spoke of how misunderstood he felt as his worldview changed – he was undergoing a spiritual awakening. He began to voraciously read new literature, he found new friends who were exploring the same spiritual and political ideas he was, and much to the chagrin of his family, he felt increasingly alienated from his devoutly religious upbringing. I noticed how strikingly different he looked from the last time I saw him – it was as though his body morphed into a new one, mimicking his inner journey as his mind mutated to accommodate new philosophies and conceptions of reality.

(I should point out that this is quite typical of a spiritual awakening. Inner energetic shifts often result in striking physical/outward changes. New thought forms alter the frequency we broadcast, and because we are, as humans, bio-energetic beings, these new thought forms give new commands to our biological/physical systems. If you are going through an awakening process at the moment, you may find want to check out this page for some support).

Naturally, the first thing I did was ask him for his birth data. I cast his natal chart with his current transits, and there it was: transiting Pluto in Capricorn was closing in on an exact conjunction with his Ascendant, and was opposing his Cancer Mercury. And as if the action of transiting Pluto wasn’t enough, transiting Uranus was also closing in on an exact conjunction with his Aries I.C, and squaring his Moon. Big stuff.

Jamaica: a quick astrological profile

Jamaica - an astrological profile - Tara Nikita

So, for fun, I decided to have a look at Jamaica’s astrological chart – cast for August 6, 1962 (12 p.m.) when we became an independent nation, and separated from Britain. What a fitting time for nation-building it was, with Saturn in Aquarius, right there on the IC. We were forming/crystallizing (Saturn) a new collective identity (Aquarius), a new nation (IC – 4th house). There’s a reason why both Saturn and Uranus rule Aquarius. Aquarius reforms and changes a system (its Uranian side), but it also builds (Saturn) a new more progressive collective structure. In this case, we were throwing off colonial rule (Uranus), and building a nation (Saturn-IC) founded on new values.

Jamaica has its Sun at 13 degrees Leo, right up there on the Midheaven with Mercury and the North Node also in Leo. What is Jamaica known for? Our performance and our creativity (Leo) – whether that performance or showmanship is in sports, or music. With the Sun right on the Leo MC, this is what we contribute to the world. We gift the world with our creative self-expression. Leo/Sun on the MC also reinforces how, for such a small country, our public image and the extent to which we are globally recognised are so strong! North Node in Leo conjunct our MC lets us know as Jamaicans that our highest path and destiny, the highest expression of our collective soul is the contribution of our creativity to the wider global collective.
